Blowerproof is a family owned Irish company, based in Rathnew Co Wicklow, started in 2019 and headed by Feargal Driver who has a passion for innovative airtightness products. Blowerproof Ireland are the Irish distributors for Hevadex BVBA Belgium, who are the leading manufacturers of a range of liquid applied water based airtightness and vapour control products.

We identified the need for products that would make buildings perform more efficiently and reduce air leaks from and into the building envelope. Hevadex are the market leaders in Europe in this field and we partnered with Mr Herman Van Damme who is extremely helpful on this journey. Blowerproof Liquid for airtightness, vapour control and radon applications are the only product in Ireland which have been awarded the prestigious gold standard NSAI IAB certification.

This accolade means that any construction company in Ireland can be assured that Blowerproof has passed rigorous testing, and is the only one of its kind tested under Irish site conditions. We as a company are extremely proud to be the first to the market with this innovative modern construction method. We are ready to assist architects, specifiers and builders, to achieve airtightness more efficiently and reduce waste associated when tapes and membranes are used.

We already have seen an increase of enquiries from large developers / architects looking for solutions to reduce wet trades on site, traditionally sand / cement were used to achieve airtightness. This method is very labour dependent and buildings had to dry out, not ideal when speed is required. We look forward to playing our part in making homes more energy efficient whilst reducing the carbon footprint of builders Nationwide.
