There are 6 NZEB/Retrofit Centres of Excellence across the country and they are managed by the local Education and Training Board (ETB).
The role of the six NZEB/Retrofit Centres of Excellence is to deliver skills training courses for NZEB/ Retrofit and sustainable construction in the Further Education and Training (FET) sector.
The centres provide a comprehensive and regionally appropriate network of specialist skills centres, and facilitate agile responses to industry needs.
Funded by SOLAS, the Further Education and Training authority, the centres provide accredited training in all areas of NZEB and Retrofit, including starter programmes, post-apprenticeship, upskilling, and conversion courses to meet the requirements of the construction industry’s sustainability agenda.
Training is delivered through the NZEB Centres of Excellence at City of Dublin ETB, Cork ETB, Laois and Offaly ETB, Limerick & Clare ETB, Mayo, Sligo & Leitrim ETB and Waterford & Wexford ETB.
